    A Pair of  Old Guzhengs

The Guzheng (古箏) is an exquisite Chinese zither, celebrated for its decorative elegance. Originating over 2,500 years ago in the Warring States period, it evolved through the Qin and Han dynasties, becoming a cornerstone of Chinese musical heritage. Adorned with intricate carvings—featuring a bird on the left and a dragon on the right on the first instrument (estimated 1950s–1980s), and simpler leaf motifs on the second (estimated 1980s–2000s)— it may serves as a distinct artistic display in your living room or office.

The first Guzheng ( features a traditional wooden tuning system, with 16 metal strings adjusted manually via wooden pegs, offering a warm, unique tone. The second Guzheng uses a modern metal tuning system, with 16 metal strings more easily achieving a stable  fine-tunning using a metallic key for richer, more dynamic sounds.

Both are compact and portable and have a manageable size makes them ideal for inspiring a cultural artistic atmosphere.
